Difference between khadi clothes and mill made clothes –

You must know a fact that is –
Cotton plants (kapas) grow in farming filed by farmers and after purifying process when cotton separates from cotton bolls and if cotton goes in charkha for spinning then it will become khadi clothes but if cotton goes in a machine with other synthetic fibres then it will manufacture mill made clothes.
Cotton is same but the process makes difference between khadi cotton clothes and mill made clothes.
There are a lot of differences between these fabrics given below –
- Khadi keeps wearer cool in summers and warm in winters because it manufactures in natural fibres. It has natural properties and mill powered clothes manufacture in synthetic fibres in machines so they don’t have these qualities.
- Khadi is a hand crafted fabric. It is hand spun and hand woven fabric so it takes a lot of man power to manufacture that’s how this fabric separates to others and makes it unique but mill powered fabric prepares on machine with so it manufactures fast and makes cheap dresses.

- As khadi silk sarees like dresses are long lasting due to its manufacturing process and natural qualities but mill powered dresses start breaks down and begin to pill earlier.
- Khadi fabric is best for human body because it manufactures from the natural fibres. It protects from the all the pollutants, virus and skin diseases but mill powered fabric manufactures with polymers and chemicals so it can affect human body.
- Khadi has been manufacturing in our India for thousands of years and contributed in freedom fighting while swadeshi movement and mill powered fabric had come in India by the British government to take over the hand loom industry.
- Khadi is the eco – friendly fabric. As khadi shirts like dresses are easy to decompose. It takes almost up to 5 months to decompose naturally but mill made dresses take so many years to decompose naturally.
